Have you noticed that your vision has become blurred as you have aged? Well if so, Talking Texoma host Shana Jackson has some great information for you today from Dr. West, who’s from Texoma Outpatient Surgery Center.

Dr. West begins with stating that cataract surgery is the bulk of what they do at the Texoma Outpatient Surgery Center. He also says the old surgery techniques involved a large incision compared to the minimally invasive way they do today which only requires a three-millimeter incision or less.

Dr. West goes on to let us know they also offer two different types of anesthesia at the Texoma Outpatient Surgery Center. The first is the more tradition type involving a shot around the eye to numb the whole eye. The second is called a topical anesthesia which involves eye drops to numb the surface and typically has a shorter recovery time.

Dr. West is the newest of the four doctors at Texoma Outpatient Surgery Center where he expresses they offer comprehensive eye exams for many different conditions besides cataracts including diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and other eyelid disorders.

Dr. West and his other associates would love to schedule a consultation with you. Just give them a call and they’d be happy to make an appointment for you.
