Anti-Ranibizumab Antibodies

Bio-Rad offers a  range of recombinant monoclonal anti-ranibizumab antibodies that are highly specific for the monoclonal antibody drug ranibizumab (Lucentis) or the complex of ranibizumab with its target, vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). Ranibizumab is used for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a common form of age-related vision loss, and for macular edema and diabetic retinopathy. The anti-ranibizumab antibodies are inhibitory, noninhibitory, and drug-target-complex specific antibodies, and are designed for use in pharmacokinetic (PK) and immunogenicity assays for ranibizumab and biosimilars. Bio-Rad’s anti-idiotypic antibodies are generated using Human Combinatorial Antibody Library (HuCAL) and CysDisplay, a proprietary method of phage display with guided selection methods to obtain highly targeted reagents. The recombinant production method also ensures a consistent, secure supply. The anti-ranibizumab antibodies are approved for in vitro research and commercial applications of in vitro testing services that support preclinical and clinical drug and biosimilar development and patient monitoring.

Reaction Monitoring System NMR Tube

The Reaction Monitoring System NMR Tube from Wilmad-LabGlass permits researchers to run reaction experiments without the need for costly instruments or equipment. This two-chamber, borosilicate glass tube is a valuable tool for use in kinetic studies and reaction-endpoint determinations. The system features an inner chamber with a Teflon tip that, when secured in the outer chamber, creates a positive seal separating solutions until the user is ready to mix. The in situ mixing of solutions allows for clear before-and-after reaction spectra. With the use of a benchtop nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer where the upper portion of the sample tube is accessible, researchers may also be able to capture initial kinetic data points. Available in 7-in. and 8-in. tube lengths, the Reaction Monitoring System comes with an extra black phenolic cap for postmix storage of solutions.

Genevac’s HT Series 3 evaporators with the Inert Gas Purge (IGP) option enable safe operation even when removing highly explosive solvents such as diethyl ether. To eliminate these risks, the IGP system purges the air from the evaporators by using an inert gas prior to commencing the evaporation process. The IGP option can also be useful where an inert atmosphere is required to help protect hygroscopic or oxygen-sensitive samples at the end of the evaporation or concentration process; the inert-gas atmosphere is maintained until the user opens the system to retrieve their samples. Incorporating a high-performance vacuum pump, the latest touchscreen technology, and a sleek ergonomic design, the HT Series 3 makes optimizing your evaporation processes effortless, while accommodating a wide range of sample formats, including microtubes, microplates, and flasks.

Breath Biopsy Kits

Breath Biopsy Kits from Owlstone Medical allow academic, clinical, and pharmaceutical researchers to quickly discover and validate breath-based biomarkers in early detection and precision medicine research activities. VOC (volatile organic compound) biomarkers present in breath can be analyzed with high sensitivity and selectivity in Owlstone Medical’s Breath Biopsy Services Laboratory, or in your own laboratory. The kits include a Breath Biopsy Cartridge to collect, stabilize, and enrich VOCs in breath, plus a disposable Breath Biopsy Mask. All kit components are manufactured and quality-checked to exacting standards. ReCIVA Breath Samplers are available to purchase or lease. By sending samples to our breath biopsy lab for analysis, scientists can benefit from the world’s largest breath biopsy digital biobank, to further explore biomarker classifiers and gain valuable insights into potential performance in larger patient populations.

Isogenic Cell Lines for Cancer Research

The ISOMAX range of isogenic engineered cell-line products from AMS Biotechnology (AMSBIO) feature diverse oncogenic driver mutations in various pathways, including the MAPK and mTOR interactive signaling pathways. Over 150-plus point mutations engineered across more than 15 genes are available, such as MAPK pathway line diverse mutations in EGFR, KRAS, and BRAF genes. All cell lines are available with genetically matched “normal cells” to provide a toolset for enhancing our understanding of cancer biology, or for high-throughput screening to identify lead/target compounds for cancer therapeutics. Using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, these cells lines are free from genomic footprints that can impact scientific results, and do not require selection markers. All cell lines are expanded from single-cell clones and validated at the genomic level by Sanger sequencing. By generating clonal populations of mutant cell lines, AMSBIO can ensure the highest quality and homogeneity of the engineered cells. Alongside this comprehensive library of cell lines, AMSBIO offers custom cell-line engineering services.

High-Flow Sterile Gas Filter

Amazon Filters SupaPore THB filter cartridges are rated to 0.02 µm to ensure effective removal of contaminants from gases that come into product contact during biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical sterile-packaging processes. Designed to meet U.S. FDA 21 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Title 21 requirements, these cartridges provide a barrier that guarantees the sterility of the process. The filter removes viruses and microorganisms from the gas as it flows either in the facility’s compressed-gas main or in and out of the product storage tank. Manufactured using a highly hydrophobic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane, the SupaPore THB filter cartridge offers exceptionally high gas-flow rates at low-pressure differentials, thereby minimizing operating costs. All cartridges are thermally bonded and adhesive-free. Each unit is preflushed with ultrapure water and integrity-tested before final assembly. The cartridges are proven to deliver trouble-free operation even after many steam-sterilization cleaning cycles.
